Looking for sustainable solutions to optimise your operations? Don't keep looking! In 2024, ISSÉANE, the renowned French waste incinerator, will focus on a disruptive baling wire solution that can revolutionise your waste management processes.ISSÉANE is committed to environmental protection and operational efficiency and is leading the way in the adoption of innovative baling wire technology to drive sustainable growth in the waste industry!

About ISSÉANE

The ISSÉANE incineration plant, located in Issy-les-Moulineaux in the Paris region, is regularly visited by French and foreign delegations. The plant has been in operation since 2007 and is considered one of the newest and highest capacity incineration plants in France. The Isséane incineration centre, which has an energy recovery function, receives residual household waste from 22 municipalities in the Syctom region. The heat generated by the combustion of the waste produces steam to power the CPUCU heat network and electricity for the operation of the centre, with the surplus sold to EDF. the Isséane Incineration Centre ensures the combustion of 61 tonnes of waste per hour, with: a reception pit of nearly 23,000 m3 equipped with overhead cranes and grabs; two boiler furnaces with a unit capacity of 30.5 tonnes per hour, where the waste is incinerated at temperatures above 1,000°C; and turbine alternators for power generation.

Steel Baling Wire

Steel baling wire is a commonly used packaging material that is widely used in various industries for its excellent strength and durability. However, in addition to its advantages, steel baling wire also has some disadvantages that you need to pay attention to during use.

Firstly, steel bale wire is relatively hard and rigid, with no flexibility. This makes it less suitable for binding soft or easily damaged items. For those items that need to be softly wrapped, using baling wire can put too much pressure on them, leading to deformation or damage. Secondly, steel baling wire is relatively heavy, which may increase the cost of shipping and handling. Compared to other lightweight baling wires, steel wire baling wire weighs more, which can lead to an increase in the overall weight of the packaged items. For the logistics and transport industry, the extra weight may increase transport costs, as well as increase the labour intensity of handling and lifting.

Additionally, there is an issue with the use of wire strapping in that it must be removed prior to the burning process. This is because the wire produces harmful fumes and gases when burned. In order to comply with environmental regulations and protect the environment, the baling wire must be completely removed before the waste is burned. However, this process is both expensive and labour-intensive and adds additional costs and effort.

Black annealed wire

Black annealed wire has a number of advantages as baling wire in waste incineration plants, such as high toughness and ductility, as well as good mechanical properties, which gives it a strength advantage when packaging and handling waste. However, there are some drawbacks to consider when choosing black annealed wire. Firstly, due to the lack of high temperature resistance of black annealed wire, it may lose its strength and structural stability in the high temperature environment of a waste incineration plant, resulting in brittle or broken baling wires. Second, black annealed wire may be exposed to corrosive substances, which can reduce its strength and durability and shorten its service life. Finally, black annealed wire may produce non-degradable substances during the manufacturing process, which may pollute and negatively impact the environment when these substances enter the incineration process. Therefore, when selecting baling wires, waste incineration plants need to consider these defects comprehensively to ensure that the materials selected can be used safely and reliably in the waste treatment process.

Galvanised wire

The choice of galvanised wire for baling wire in waste incineration plants also offers some advantages, such as relatively low cost, high strength and good malleability. However, there are some drawbacks to consider when choosing galvanised wire. Firstly, galvanised wire has limited heat resistance and may lose its strength and structural stability in high temperature environments, resulting in brittle or broken baling wire. Secondly, the galvanised layer may be subject to corrosion or abrasion, reducing its durability and corrosion resistance, resulting in baling wire being susceptible to corrosion and breakage. Finally, galvanised wire may release zinc ions during use, causing pollution and negative impact on the surrounding environment. Therefore, when selecting baling wires, waste incineration plants need to consider these shortcomings comprehensively to ensure that the materials selected can be used safely and reliably in the waste treatment process and to minimise any adverse impact on the environment.

Reasons to pay attention to JUDINGROUP plastic baling wire

1. It can provide heat value when burning.

In a high-temperature environment, PET material can burn and release heat energy, which helps increase the temperature and thermal efficiency of the incineration process. By utilising the calorific contribution of PET baling wire, incineration plants can utilise the energy from the waste more efficiently, promoting complete combustion of the waste and reducing the need for additional fuel, thereby reducing energy costs. By recovering the calorific value generated by PET baling wire, incineration plants can reduce their dependence on external energy sources, improve energy efficiency and reduce negative impacts on the environment.

2. Eliminates the need to remove the wire.

Traditional baling wires usually require wiring operations before the waste reaches the incineration plant, a time-consuming and labour-intensive task. However, our baling wires eliminate this step, making the entire waste treatment process more efficient and convenient. Incinerator customers do not have to spend extra labour and time removing the lines. They can place the waste and baling wire directly into the incineration facility, saving valuable resources.

3. It will not rust.

This product adopts PET as the material of waste baling wire. It has excellent anti-corrosion properties, which makes it show excellent durability and reliability in humid environments. It is due to this property that the service life of the waste baling wire is greatly extended. This is highly beneficial to incinerator customers, who can manage the waste treatment process more efficiently and increase productivity.

4. Excellent machine suitability

Plastic baling wire as baling wire is suitable for most horizontal balers, and the wire gauge can be customised to fully meet the requirements of waste incineration plants. It is compatible with a wide range of horizontal balers from well-known brands such as Macpress, BOA, Macfab, Godswil, Lindex, UnoTech, Presona and Sacria. These balers are widely used in the waste disposal industry, so the suitability of the plastic baling wire complements the compatibility of these machines.
